Dmitry Stefanovich pointed out the doctrinal basis of the nuclear deterrence in Russian Federation, the peculiarities of the relevant terminology in various linguistic traditions, the positive role of arms control and threat reduction measures (including the unilateral ones), and the need for an early resumption of interstate dialogue in this field.
