7Dmitry Stefanovic made a report on the regional military and political trends, affecting the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula, at the roundtable conference “The Korean Peninsula: state of affairs and denuclearization prospects. Room for collaboration”.
He emphasized that the modern status quo is “the lesser of evils”, but any new initiatives should include an attempt to understand the perception of threats by all parties involved. Researcher for the Korea Institute for Defense Research Haejong Song, researcher for the Center for Korean Studies at the Institute for Far Eastern Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences Anna Polenova and Professor for the University of North Korean Studies Songghen Kim also attended the event.
