
On 16-18 June 2016 The 8th Pan-European Conference on European Union was held in Italy. The event took place in the northern Italy, University of Trento.
The conference was attended by about 500 scientists whose academic interests concern various aspects of economy and politics of the EU. During the plenary sessions, special attention was paid to the current challenges faced by the EU. Doctor Marina Strezhneva (IMEMO) issued a report devoted to financial regulation as an issue in EU-US relations. Junior Research Associate (IMEMO) Daria Rudenkova presented the results of the study on the promotion of multilevel governance in the EU’s common fisheries policy and globally.
University of Trento was founded in 1962 and became famous opening the first Department of Sociology in Italy. Today the University of Trento is one of the most prestigious in Italy because to its progressive orientation and wide international relations.
