Dmitry Stefanovich made a report in the framework of the webinar “The standards, the rules and the principles of the responsible behavior in outer space”, which was organized by the United Nations Office for Disarmament and Outer Space Affairs.

Dmitry Stefanovich pointed out the differences in the priorities of the various countries regarding the threats associated with the use of the outer space for military purposes, and also emphasized the interconnection of the anti-satellite and the anti-missile potentials. In addition, he mentioned the technical possibility of deploying strike systems in space, which would lead to very dramatic consequences for international security.
