On June 27, a discussion on the topic: "NATO in The Hague: a Crisis of Development or the Beginning of a Collapse?" was held at the “Valdai” Club. Alexander Aleshin, Senior Researcher of the Department of International Political Problems, Cand. of Science (Politics), took part in the event.

In his speech, Alexander Aleshin spoke about the problems and trends in transatlantic relations. In this context, he paid special attention to the role of the energy factor, defense spending and arms trade, development and foreign policy of China. In addition, Alexander Aleshin analyzed the causes of the Ukrainian crisis and the dynamics of EU-NATO cooperation.
