We present to your attention the fourth issue of the scientific network journal “Analysis and Forecasting. IMEMO Journal”

The issue has four sections – “Forecasting Studies”, “Development Trends and Risks”, “Dynamics of Social and Political Spaces” and “Global and Regional Security”. 

The authors focus on the potential of applying the cyclic-wave paradigm in political research and forecasting of socio-political dynamics; the role of bilateral free trade agreements with Latin American and Caribbean countries in China's struggle for global leadership; new trends in US public diplomacy after February 2022 in the context of analyzing the concept of “reputational security” by Nicholas Cull; the problem of the influence of video games with historical plots on mass consciousness; comparative analysis of the foreign policy and Arctic strategies of the autonomous territories of Denmark – Greenland and the Faroe Islands; nuclear proliferation risks in connection with the deepening of existing bilateral partnerships and new multilateral formats with US participation on security issues in the Asia-Pacific region.

The next issue of the “MEMO Journal” (No. 3, 2025) is published. It opens with an article on the experience of systematic study of the discourse of intervention at the UN. The readers' attention will be drawn to the materials touching upon the problems of development in the post-Soviet space, including the Central Asian region, as well as analyzing the formation of the idea of patriotism in the agenda of the Union State of Belarus and Russia.
