On November 16, 2016  IMEMO hosted a seminar on security issues in the Indo-Pacific region held  at the initiative of the Embassy of India in Moscow. Ambassador of the Republic of India's to the Russian Federation Mr. Pankaj Saran took part in the seminar. 

The seminar was attended by IMEMO researchers with professional interest in    international political and economic relations in South and East Asia, security in Eurasia and global security.

The discussion touched upon the future of Russian-Indian relations and prospects of cooperation between Russia and India in resolving pressing problems of the Indo-Pacific region.

Seminar was chaired by the IMEMO Director Prof. Alexander Dynkin, RAS Member.
