Dear Colleagues!

IMEMO Center for the Middle East Studies is holding its next Georgy Mirsky Middle East Seminar on the topic “Modern Afghanistan: Scenarios for Development”. The event will take place on April 5 at 11:00 am. The main speaker at the seminar will be Mohammad Omar Nessar, Cand. of Science (History), Senior Researcher of the Center for Middle East Studies at the Institute of Oriental Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences.

At the seminar it is proposed to discuss the development of the current political situation in Afghanistan, as well as the approaches of global and regional powers to solving various aspects of the Afghan problem. The presentation will be followed by an exchange of views among the seminar participants.

The seminar will be held in a mixed format.
