On June 18, 2025, in a series of analytical notes of the Russian International Affairs Council, Igor Zhukovsky, Senior Researcher of the Baltic Sea Region Integrated Research Group of the Center for Strategic Planning Studies of IMEMO, presented an overview of the region's militarization processes and dynamics of the degradation of regional cooperation formats, "Baltic Region: from Cooperation to Conflict".
