A roundtable at the Center for Asia-Pacific Studies

A round table on the theme: «Forecasting Strategies in the Asia-Pacific Area» was held in IMEMO on May 17, 2017. Deputy Director of IMEMO, Academician of RAN V.V. Mikheev was a moderator of the meeting. Scientific researchers of the Center for Asia-Pacific Studies of IMEMO and the Institute of Far Eastern Studies (IFES) took part in the discussion.

Participants of the roundtable discussed:

  • foreign and domestic political and economic strategies of Asia-Pacific countries, which are implemented and discussed at the expert level now, the degree of their realization, stability and adjustments in the implementation process;
  • options for the emergence of new, as yet not even identified, strategies;
  •  
  • a role and potential of the expert community in forecasting and realizing of foreign and domestic political strategies of Asia-Pacific countries.
