The fourth issue of the journal "Russia and the New States of Eurasia" for the year 2021 has been published. The article on the current state and the prospects for the development of industrial integration of the EAEU countries opens the issue. As it was before, considerable attention is paid to Ukraine. The authors of the issue consider the prospects of the implementation of the Minsk agreements, analyze the results of Ukraine’s domestic and foreign policy in the year 2021, and explore the specifics of Poland-Ukraine relations.
The researchers traditionally pay particular attention to political processes in the neighboring countries. They analyze the situation in Belarus and the results of municipal elections in Georgia. The authors also focused their attention on the current problems of Central Asia. They analyzed the results of the presidential elections in Uzbekistan and investigated the political situation in Kyrgyzstan a year after the transit of power.
The researchers also studied the economic problems of neighboring countries. They considered the export of services by Kazakhstan and the prospects of the central bank digital currencies in the post-Soviet countries.
The rubric “Environmental Policy” appears for the first time in the fourth issue of the journal for the year 2021.There are published the articles on the climate policy of post-Soviet countries and the “greening” of the Kazakhstan’s financial system. Special attention is paid to the problems of migration. The authors investigated the distribution of contingents of labor migrants from neighboring countries in the regions of Russia, the reasons for the appearance of a significant number of higher-skilled immigrants from CIS countries on the Russian labor market, and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the situation of Ukrainian labor migrants in Poland.
