The 2nd issue for 2025 of the journal “Russia and the New States of Eurasia” has been published. Traditionally, the authors focus on the problems of Eurasian integration.

The researchers consider history of integration processes within the framework of the EAEU, the problems and prospects of the integration. The authors also study political and legal aspects of Eurasian integration, economic cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan within the framework of the EAEU. As before, great attention is paid to the countries located in the European part of the post-Soviet space.

The researchers analyze major trends in the economy and foreign policy of Belarus, characteristic features of the political system of Ukraine, socio-economic situation in Moldova on the eve of the parliamentary elections. As before, the authors focus on Central Asia. The researchers consider trends in economic development of Kazakhstan, countering Islamic radicalism in Tajikistan, prospects for the implementation of the railway project “China – Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan”.

Great attention is paid to Transcaucasia. The authors analyze preliminary results of the 2025 Abkhazian presidential elections, transport strategy of Georgia, the state of Azerbaijani-Ukrainian relations. The article on the positions of Russia and neighboring countries on the UN Security Council reform is also of considerable interest.
