9The 19th International Scientific and Practical Conference “The current problems of the world economy and finances” was held at the Academy of Labor and Social Relations (Moscow) on April 29, 2022.
Senior Researcher for the Center for Comparative Socio-Economic and Political Studies of the IMEMO Cand. of Science (Politics) Alexey Zenkov made a report “Russian education in the light of the new economic reality: the challenges and the development prospects” at the event.
The report presented an overview of the key restrictions imposed by the foreign states on Russian education, and provided assessment of their impact on the current work of industry institutions. The author reviewed the possible ways out of the emerging crisis, he also evaluated the related risks and limitations. According to the speaker, now it is extremely important to clarify the purposes and objectives of the current state system of education and personnel training. Not only the future of Russian education will depend on the accuracy of the chosen priorities, but also the prospects for strengthening the Russian state itself in the new political, economic and social conditions, its place and role in the future world order.
