Professor of the Faculty of  Philosophy of  the Lomonosov Moscow State University  Dr. Andrey Ashkerov will make a report at the IMEMO. The topic of the report is “The Russian political climate control in the XXI century”.

The seminar «The general elections in Japan – 2017: the prognosis of changing» dedicated to the situation in Japan on the eve of the lower house elections will be held in the IMEMO. There will be considered such relevant problems as the future development of Japan in the spheres of internal policy, economy, security and the relations between Japan and the leading foreign policy partners including Russia.

The round table on the topic "Beyond the six-party talks" was held in IMEMO on September, 18, 2017. Deputy Director for Scientific Work, Academician Mikheev V. was a moderator of the meeting. 

In the framework of the “Primakov Readings” there was the joint round-table conference of the Center for Asia Pacific Studies (led by Deputy Director of the IMEMO Vasiliy Mikheev) and  the Korean Institute for National Security Strategy (led by the President of the Institute Xing Yun). The topic of the meeting was the problem of the security of the Korean peninsula.

A round table on the theme: "Russia's interests and strategy in the context of the foreseeable future of the Asia-Pacific region" was held in IMEMO. Academician of RAS Vasily V. Mikheev was a moderator of the meeting. Scientific researchers of the CAPS of IMEMO and The Institute of Far Eastern Studies (IFES) took participation in the discussion.

A roundtable on the theme: "Forecasting Strategies in the Asia-Pacific Area" was held at IMEMO on May 17, 2017. Academician V.V. Mikheev was a moderator of this meeting. Scientific researchers of the Center for Asia-Pacific Studies of IMEMO and The Institute of Far Eastern Studies (IFES) took part in the discussion.

Head of Sector of the Asia-Pacific Region Problems A. Fedorovskiy met with delegation from the Ministry of Unification. During the discussion, participants shared their views on the assessment of current state and prospects of Russian-South Korean relations.
