On the initiative of the PSI Foundation Ambassadorial Club, a conference on «Iran’s Nuclear Problem» was held in the IMEMO conference hall.

Under the auspices of the IMEMO Young Scholars Association, a young scholars’ conference on «TNC in World Politics and World Economy: Problems, Trends, Prospects» was held in the IMEMO conference hall.

On September 27, 2005, on the initiative of the Society of Friendship and Cooperation with Indonesia, an international conference devoted to the 60th anniversary of the Declaration of Indonesia’s Independence was held in the IMEMO conference hall.

International roundtable «Biotechnology: Preventing Harmful Use of the Life Sciences» was held in IMEMO.

A conference on «Russia: the Experience of Social and Political Development under Conditions of Social Transformations» was held in IMEMO in memory of G.G.Diligensky (to commemorate his 75th birthday).

 On April 26, 2005 a meeting with a delegation of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly took place at IMEMO.

On April 21, 2005 a workshop from a series Legislative Aspects of the Global Partnership was held at IMEMO. It was arranged within a framework of Strengthening Global Partnership Project conducted jointly with the Center for Strategic and International Studies, located in Washington, DC.
