There was held the “Asian Workshop” under the guidance of Academician Vasily Mikheev on the topic “The crisis of leadership and the stagnation of mega-projects in the Asia-Pacific Region”. Dr. Alexander Fedorovskiy made a presentation.

The delegation of the Academy for Party History and Literature Research of the CPC Central Committee headed by Prof. Zhang Shii visited the IMEMO. Academician Vasily Mikheev and Prof. Alexander Lomanov took part in the meeting as the representatives of the Russian side.

The international roundtable conference was held by the IMEMO together with the Korean Institute of Economic Policy (KIEP). The meeting was dedicated to the problems of the Korean peninsula, the Russian policy called “Turning to the East” and the cooperation between Moscow and Seoul on the topic of North Korea.

There will be held the “Asian Seminar” on the topic “Russia-Japan relations: the informal outlook”. Academician Vasiliy Mikheev will lead the meeting.

A round table between russian and chinese scholars was held in IMEMO on June 15th, 2018. IMEMO Vice President, Academician of RAS Vasily Mikheev and a Junior Research Fellow of IMEMO Sergey Ignatev attended the meeting.

International symposium «"Putin 4.0" and the Future of Northeast Asia – Interdependency or Confrontation» was held at IMEMO on April, 23. The conference was organized by Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies organized.

The topic of this meeting was "The System of International Relations in the Asia Pacific region: directions and dynamics of changes". The round table was moderated by IMEMO Vice President, Academician V.V. Mikheev and editor in chief of the "World Economy and International Relations" journal A.V. Ryabov. 

Round Table Conference “The relations between Russia and South Korea and the situation at the Korean Peninsula” organized by the Centre for Asia Pacific Studies was held in IMEMO. 

The first «Asian Workshop» will be held in the IMEMO under the direction of Academician Vasiliy Mikheev. At the seminar Ambassador-at-large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia (Ret.) O.V. Davydov will make a report on the topic “The North Korean nuclear matter”.
