Abstract. This article is a review of the collective monograph "Russian social and economic system: reality and development vectors”. System approach to the analysis of modern Russian economy, revealing its real problems, the formulation of the prospects for its development is the basis of research in the said book. This monograph explains the need to transition to the human-centered model as the most adequate and progressive for Russia, shows the importance of interdisciplinary analysis. The review highlights a number of controversial provisions contained in the book.
