Abstract. Proceedings of the round table taken place in October 2009, chaired by V.V. Mikheev, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Deputy Director of Institute of World Economy and International Relations, Russian Academy of Sciences. Its participants analyze the present state of political systems in Pacific Asia countries and in India which is striving for interaction with them, as well as their development perspectives up to 2030. In conclusion, the situation in Russia, factors and options of its evolution are examined amid political transformations in Pacific Asia.
