Interregional Differentiation in BRIC Countries: Possibilities for Assessment

Abstract. In the paper, actual approaches of Regional Accounts elaboration in BRICs are examined, including a comparison of international and domestic practices. In view of foreign experience, possible directions of the Russian statistics development are presented for a more comprehensive illustration of the processes ongoing in economies of separate regions and the country's spatial macroeconomics. Common analysis of inter-regional differentiation by size and level of regional economic development in Brazil, Russia, India and China, with allowance for national specificity of Regional Accounts indicators estimations is provided.
