Abstract. The article proposes a consideration analysis of the current socio-economic situation of Indonesia and its external sector. On the basis of the analysis of quantitative and qualitative aspects of Indonesian and Russian bilateral trade, author shows the necessity and the possibility of quantitative and qualitative development of bilateral trade cooperation between the countries.
