Abstract. The session of the IMEMO Academic Council dealt with the topic “Power and administration in the EU: organizational aspects”. The keynote speaker was Mrs. M.V. Strezhneva, the head of IMEMO’s sector of institutional problems of international relations, Doctor of Political Sciences. The session was moderated by Mr. A.A. Dynkin, Director of IMEMO, Academician of RAS. The discussion of the report was participated by IMEMO researchers: Mrs. N.I. Ivanova, Corresponding member of RAS, Mr. V.G. Baranovskii, Corresponding member of RAS, Mr. I.V. Kostikov, Doctor of Economics, Mr. A.V. Kuznetsov, Doctor of Economics, Mr. S.P. Peregudov, Doctor of History, Mr.  K.V. Voronov, Cand. Sci. (Econ.), Mrs. E.S. Gromoglasova, Cand. Sci. (Political Sciences), Mrs. I.L. Prohorenko, Cand. Sci. (Political Sciences) as well as Mrs. O.V. Butorina, Doctor of Economics, the head of chair and advisor to MGIMO Rector, Mr. A.S. Linnikov, Cand. Sci. (Law), associate professor of the Moscow State Academy of Law. MEMO Journal proposes an abbreviated summary of the keynote report and the discussion to the attention of the readers.
