Abstract. This paper presents the method of the contrastive-institutional analysis, which essence is in comparison of different state characteristics in order to reveal interrelations and influence trends existing between states. The results of state-studies carried out by international and nongovernmental organizations serve as basic information. The example of the application of this method is also given in the article.
