Territorial Cohesion Policy in the European Union

Abstract. The article is devoted to the analysis of the conceptual and practical aspects of the territorial cohesion (TC) in the European Union. The TC is meant to couple territorial and industry-specific policies at the European level (transport, energy, agricultural, ecological and other policies). The Treaty of Lisbon (2007) present it as one of the key goals of regional integration. Territorial cohesion is to be promoted with the help of EU legal mechanisms and financial instruments.
