Abstract

The article examines the theoretical basis of the foreign political strategy of post-Soviet countries. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the “multivector” concept which became a basic principle and method of their foreign political activities, reasons for its formation and special features of its realization. The article also analyzes the impact of internal and external factors on processes of differentiation developing in the post-Soviet space, on correction or changes by various countries in their policy orientation and tasks. Recommendations are suggested on adaptation of the Russian policy to these new realities in the post-Soviet space in order to increase its efficiency.
