Abstract

Presidential elections are to be held in Kirgizia in November of 2017. Although the election campaign is at its very beginning principal pretenders to the post of the head of state have been determined already while several figures from political opposition dropped out of the race. In case of further deterioration of economic situation and strengthening of radical Islamist influence the aggravation of politi-cal struggle in Kirgizia in connection with the presidential elections may lead to destabilization in the republic
