Kazakhstan and the Ukrainian crisis

Abstract. In spite of the escalation of the Ukrainian crisis Astana intends to continue its multi-vector foreign policy. Its basic principles will include: (a) maintaining strategic partnership with Russia including in the frame of the Eurasian Economic Union; (b) strengthening of China’s vector; (c) maintaining and expanding partnership relations with the EU.
