The 4th issue for 2023 of the journal “Russia and the New State of Eurasia” has been published. The issue opens with the article on the impact of the Ukrainian crisis on the formation of the new world order. Much attention is also paid to other countries located in the European part of the post-Soviet space. The authors analyze the current state of Belarusian-Chinese relations, the results of local elections in Moldova held in November 2020, and relations between Moldova and Romania in the context of the Ukrainian crisis. Poland’s Eastern policy have also become the subject of the researchers’ study. As before, the author’s attention is focused on Central Asia. The researchers analyze changes in the political system of Uzbekistan, China's policy in Central Asia, the interaction between China and Kyrgyzstan within the project “One Belt, One Road” project, the phenomenon of Kazakh nationalism, the activities of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) in Central Asia. Considerable attention is also paid to the study of the economic development of the Central Asian countries. The researchers study the participation of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in the global nuclear fuel trade, the dynamics of Turkish investments in Central Asian countries, the problems and trends in the Kazakhstan’s venture market development, the outlook for rouble and renminbi to replace US dollar in Central Asian states. The current problems of Transcaucasia are also considered in the issue. The authors analyze the U.S. policy in South Caucasus and the impact of the war of historical memory on the state of Russian-Georgian relations. Considerable attention is also paid to environmental problems – in the article published in the issue national climate strategies of the EAEU countries are considered.
