In the sphere of military policy, some current debates in strategic arms and stability are reviewed, as well as the latest trends in defence research organization.

The Editorial Board regrets to inform our readers that the journals’  long-time Editor-in-Chief, IMEMO’s Chief Researcher, Leonid Istyagin (Dr. of History) passed away on January 2, 2018. We express our deepest condolences to his family, friends, colleagues and readers.
