On January 21, 2015 the Center for Comparative Socio-Economic and Socio-Political Studies held a joint workshop with the Centre for European studies within the framework of the on-going seminar dedicated to the analysis of political, social and cultural transformations in the contemporary world. The workshop is dedicated to the transformations of contemporary Welfare State models.
As a consortium partner in the EU 7th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7) EUinDepth staff exchange project on “European Identity, Cultural Diversity and Political Change” IMEMO was hosting a visit from Francesco Farina, professor of Economics of the University of Siena and Director of the Inter-University Centre on the Welfare State.
Professor Farina presented a paper on “Models of the Welfare State: International Comparisons”, which was followed by a discussion.
