• identification and study of current and prospective factors influencing strategic stability, including military-political, military-strategic and technological nature;
• forecasting changes in the strategic situation in the field of international security based on an interdisciplinary approach;
• exploratory research in the field of promising forms of arms control and measures to reduce strategic risks;
• coordination, assembly and editing of analytical materials, the preparation of which is entrusted to the IMEMO Center for International Security.
