    Field of Research

    • Analysis of challenges to socio-economic and political development and security in Southeast and South Asia;
    • Studying the dynamics of development of regional economies and their adaptation to global political and economic changes affecting national and regional security;
    • Monitoring efforts to increase the activity of extra-regional actors in international relations in South and Southeast Asia (for example, the USA, China, EU, NATO) and the reactions of countries in the region;
    • Identifying the specific influence of climate and other challenges – both natural and man-made – on socio-economic development, political stability and regional security architecture;
    • Interdisciplinary analysis of technological challenges for security and stability policy in South and Southeast Asia;
    • Development of theoretically and empirically based proposals in the field of strategic planning of foreign policy and foreign economic activity of Russia in relation to the regions of South and Southeast Asia.
