Abstract. Belarus and Armenia have long-standing traditions of cooperation. The countries maintain a stable political dialogue. In addition regular meetings of the leaders of both countries take place in the framework of the CIS, EAEU, CSTO. Belarus and Armenia have long-term trade and economic relations.  Cooperation in this area is characterized by expansion of contacts at an interregional level.
For a number of years Belarus has maintained balanced relations both with Armenia and Azerbaijan which have a sharp conflict with each other. However the whole of 2018 was marked by a crisis of trust between Belarus and Armenia. Real steps towards repairing of relations were taken by Armenian President Sarkissian. If relations between the two countries are directed towards a constructive dialogue of  trust, not only Armenia and Belarus but also their partners in the EAEU and the CSTO will benefit.
