Political Crisis in Armenia: Nikol Pashinyan Coming to Power

Abstract. The article is devoted to the political crisis in Armenia which after the constitutional reform in the spring of 2018 became a parliamentary republic. It was meant to create conditions for the ruling Republican party and its leader Serzh Sargsyan to continue to control the country. However it triggered off mass protest movement all over the country. As a result Sargsyan was forced to resign. The leader of the opposition Nikol Pashinyan became a head of the government.
