The 1st issue for 2022 of the journal “Russia and the New State of Eurasia” has been published. The issue opens with the article on the problems and prospects of coordinating of the EAEU countries’ industrial policy. Traditionally, considerable attention is paid to Ukraine. The authors of the issue consider the main stages of Ukraine’s policy in the post-Soviet space, analyze the results and problems of the development of the Ukrainian economy in 2014–2021. As before, the researchers focus on the current problems of Central Asia. The authors analyze the causes, course of development, prospects for overcoming of the January political crisis in Kazakhstan and consider the current state of Turkish–Turkmen relations. The researchers also study comprehensively the situation in the South Caucasus. In particular, the problem of the state borders of Armenia in the XX–XXI centuries is considered. Great attention is paid to the consequences of the Second Karabakh War. The authors analyze the priorities of Iran, Turkey and the West in the new geopolitical situation that developed after the Second Karabakh War, as well as the problems of unblocking transport communications in the South Caucasus after the end of the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war. The researchers’ attention is also focused on the processes taking place in the countries of the European part of the post-Soviet space. The impact of the energy crisis on the socio-economic sphere of Moldova, the activities of the US foundations and NGOs in Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine, Belarusian-Ukrainian relations in 2020 – middle of 2021 are considered.
