Abstract. The article is based on the IMEMO database of mutual foreign investments in the CIS. Causes of the investments growth are studied. Foreign direct investments from Kazakhstan, Belarus and Ukraine in Russia are analyzed in detail. Both official statistics and data on investment projects of various companies are given.
