Abstract. This author aims to analyze political predilections and interests of the American Jewish diaspora, to identify American Jews’ ideological perspectives and to define the peculiarities of their political behavior. Although the Jewish population in the USA is by no means numerous, it plays an important role in the society, has a serious influence on domestic political processes. The paper deals with key demographic features and social characteristics of the Jewish diaspora. The author then examines the influence of the American Jewish diaspora as a distinguished group, on various electoral campaigns and the popular vote.
