Biography
Born in Tula, 15 October 1926. Graduated Moscow Institute of International Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, USSR, 1949, and post-graduate course, 1952. Since 1964, Institute of World Economy and International Relations, Academy of Sciences. Doctor of History, Professor, Corresponding Member, Russian Academy of Sciences.
Currently, Counselor, Russian Academy of Sciences.
1977–1998 Deputy Director, Institute of World Economy and International Relations, Russian Academy of Sciences.
1981–1986 State expert, Research Group of United Nations on Confidence Building Measures, Advisory Board of United Nations on Disarmament Studies.
1986–1989 Expert, Soviet-American Summits.
1978–2005 Chief Editor, International Yearbook: Economics and Politics (since 1992, Planets Year).
