RESEARCH AREAS:

Alexander A. Dynkin - member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor (Economics), Professor, one of the leading Russian specialists in the world economy and international politics. His research areas comprise the issues of economic growth, forecasting, energy, international comparisons, the patterns of innovation development. He created the scientific school for the study of innovation economy and this school is well-known both in Russia and abroad.

He developed the methodology of the long-term socio-economic forecast, prepared a series of long and short term forecasts of the world economy:

  • "Global Strategic Outlook 2030", published in 2011
  • "The World Economy: Forecast to 2020", published in 2008
  • "The World at the Turn of the Millennium. The Forecast for the World Economy until 2015", published in 2001

Alexander A. Dynkin launched the development of a number of topical issues of economic development in Russia: a new industrial policy strategy to improve competitiveness, the contribution of large companies in the modernization of the economy, building a national innovation system.

CURRENT EXPERT AND CONSULTING ACTIVITY:

  • 2011 - Member of Expert Group "The International Position of Russia: Economic Guidelines"
  • 2011 - Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Russian Council on Foreign Affairs
  • Globalization and International Division of Russian Academy of Sciences. Chairman
  • Since 2010 – Member of the Council on Grants of the Russian Government
  • Member of the tender commission on selection of programs for the development of universities, in respect of which the category "national research university" (decree N1281-p dated 20 August 2009, signed by Vladimir Putin)
  • Member of the Board of Trustees (the Chairman – Dmitry Medvedev, RF President) by the Fund "Institute of Contemporary Development"
