In Russia, IMEMO maintains close relations with other academic institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Higher Economic School, the Higher School of Economics, Institute of Economic Problems of the Transition Period, the Moscow and St. Petersburg State Universities, the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and others.

ISN is an electronic clearinghouse for resources and institutions in the field of international relations and security studies. It is run by the Center for Security Policy and Control Research at the ETH (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich) Zurich in conjuction with the Euro-Atlantic Foundation, and EINIRAS (European Information Network on International Relations and Area Studies).
