Round-table conference "Problems of regional security in the Caucasus"
Round-table conference "Problems of regional security in the Caucasus" was held in the conference-hall of the IMEMO on March 25, 2016.
The aims of the event were:
1) to discuss the threatening nature of the recent events in Syria, Iraq and neighboring countries to the South Caucasus states, the possibility of extending the zone of instability to the territory of Georgia and the whole South Caucasus.
2) to analyze the Russia policy, the challenges and the threats that Russia faces in the region.
3) to discuss the possible ways of increasing the efficiency of the Russian policy in the South Caucasus.
4) to identify possible prospects for the development of the South Caucasus in the context of the integration projects such as the Eastern partnership and EAEU Customs Union.
